Encrypted Emails

Emailing non-Criptext users

When sending encrypted emails to non-Criptext recipients (Eg. Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook) you must enter a passphrase that the recipient must use to open your encrypted email.

Sending unencrypted emails

To send a normal email without encryption you just have to turn off the switch that says "Send Encrypted". This is useful when emailing non-sensitive data to customer service, for instance.

How recipients see your encrypted emails

Reading secure emails

If you send an encrypted email to a person with a Gmail or Outlook account then they‘ll get a normal email with a link to open your secure message. Once they open this link they‘ll have to enter the passphrase that you set on that email in order to read the message.
